A very light and charming two room apartement close to the city. The house was built in 1880.
We mooved two years ago from our flat in Saltsjöbaden to Södermalm in Stockholm city. Micheline who wrote the references stayed in our old apartement.
Our present apartement is very light and the surroundings are quiet. The only sound you might hear is children playing in the school yard. The school was built in 1864 and our building is from the 1880's. There is no house opposite so we have a free view of the big trees outside, which are are green and fresh in the summer.
There is a tiled stove which you could use if it is a chilly weather.
We have some plants that we ask you to water every third or fourth day.
The flat is on the third foor, and there is no elevator.
It's a very cosy place to stay.

About the neighborhood
It is close to several gocery stoors just around the corner. At Hornsgatan there are plenty of different shops, restaurants and bars and the metro station Mariatorget is very close, four minutes walk.
All around Södermalm there are many different restaurants, theaters, bars, clubs, bowling etc.
There are many smaller and biger parks close to our place.
You can walk in 10 -15 minutes to Slussen and the Old Town. It is also close to the huge lake Mälaren and the Baltic Sea.

This Sweedish family is a lovely one and after our home exchange we are still exchanging mails because we nearly become friends. I choose to welcome them on their arrival in La Rochelle one evening before leaving and travelling to their place in Saltsjöbaden, near Stockholm and we spent some nice hours together. Then in Saltsjöbaden we find the spot (30mns regular bus from Stockholm) and their flat extra-ordinary beautiful and pleasant. Yes their home is accurately represented on the site: very bright and comfortable flat with marvelous top floor with huge "salon" and very large balcony with view on the Baltic sea and also the green landscape all around. Both Saltsjöbaden and Stockholm are very enjoyable place : for nature and walkings in Saltsjöbaden which is a small marina - where you can also go on a ferry to the very wild and nice island of Namedö - For nature, walkings, ferries to many islands of the archipelago, and a great many of very rich museums and places of interest in Stockholm. I highly recommend both the place and this home. When I was back in my flat in La Rochelle, I found all the place very clean and in order. And this Sweedish family also take great care of the few flowers on my balcony!

We love Portugal
Hello,
We are two teachers at upper secondary school. Marcelo teaches maths and chemistry and Gunilla teaches social science and Swedish language.
We are 59 and 62 years old and really enjoy travelling, both to cities and natural reserves and other exciting places. This summer we would like to visit Portugal.
We both like long walks, enjoying food and wine, art and theater, architecture and sight seeing.
We have done house exchanges in France, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland and New York.
Marcelo has got three grown up children and Gunilla has one son. Though they do not travel with us.
