Where we live
Our villa is situated in Djursholm, a well known high status residential villa area north of Stockholm city. Djursholm is a part of the community of Danderyd.
The house has 4 bedrooms with totally 2 single beds and one double bed. One of the bedrooms is currently used as a gym but can easily be furnished with a bed if needed.
There are two bathrooms and one guest toilet. One washroom with wash machine and a tumbler. Kitchen and a living room. Connection to WiFi.
The garden has a terrace facing the south with a big dining table.

Getting to Stockholm
You can reach the city centre ( 8km ) by bicycle, car, metro or the small local commuting train passing Djursholm. There is a metro station in Danderyd centre.
We prefer the train which takes only 8 minutes to Stockholm city and leaves every 5-10 minutes. The nearest station is 10 minutes’ walk from our house.
On the way to Stockholm city you will pass The Historic Nature Museum and the university.

Services in and near Djursholm
In Danderyd we have a commercial centre as well as a regional hospital.
In Djursholm´s local commercial centre, 10 minutes walk, you will find supermarket, two restaurants, one pizzeria, drugstore etc.

Sports
In Djursholm we have one 18 holes golf course. Within 3 km distance, in Danderyd, you will find a 6 holes golf course and a driving range.
Within 8 minutes’ walk from our house you reach the Stockholm archipelago with possibility to swim in the sea.
Within 4 km we have a forest with a variety of jogging tracks, illuminated at night.

Places to visit
With a bus from Danderyd centre you can, within 20 minutes trip, visit the town of Waxholm.
In Waxholm you can rent canoes, catch commuting boats to go further out in Stockholm archipelago. With the commuting boats you can reach the vast archipelago east of Stockholm at the price of a bus ticket.

In and around Stockholm
Stockholm has a lot to offer most interests and ages , especially summertime.
There are several popular beaches in Stockholm.

We recommend you to purchase a guidebook or contact the tourist centre in the city.
Within the county of Stockholm all fares with bus, metro or train are the same.

From Stockholm you can travel with weekend cruises ( 40 hours ) to Finland or to Estonia at a low price. One day in Helsinki and two nights in a cabin would cost around 680:- SEK per person. You can make a one day cruise to Åland for less than 100 :- SEK
