Great villa in Oosterhout, Netherlands

This is our house, on the edge of the village 'Oosterhout', just about 5 km outside Breda, in the South of The Netherlands. The house is situated in a green area, surrounded by woods, farms, a small castle, tree plantations, horses, sheep, cows.

The house is big enough for max 6 persons, for example a couple or family with two, three, or four children.

On the ground floor we have a dining/kitchen, a living with a fire place. The living is connected to the veranda, which is great on hot summer days. A separate toilet, master bedroom, bathroom with big double bathtub, second toilet, shower. The bathroom is connected to a small patio, where we have an outdoor shower in the summer months.

Upstairs there are three rooms, of which two are furnished as bedrooms for our two boys, with two single beds and two more mattresses available. There is also a second bathroom, with toilet and bathtub.

In the garden, around 700m2, you'll find a trampoline, a soccer/hockey goal. The house is along two roads. In front of the house is a sandy, very quiet road leading into the forest. The other road on the side, leads within a few minutes to the center of Oosterhout, or to a big swimming pool, or to the highway A27, or to Breda, or to more forest and countryside roads.

A wireless (wifi) network is available, tv, stereo, whirlpool bathtub, outside shower.
A car is almost always available to exchange as well.
We have 4 bikes and a scooter mobile.

Enjoy going into the forest by bike or by foot, there is a camp site where children can play freely in the big playground, where there is also a swimming pool, in- and outdoors. There are a lots of things to see and do and we are more than willing to tell you all about it.

We do not smoke and keep the house free from sigarette smells. Feel free to smoke outside.

In the area, starting at the house, there are some great woods with hours of hiking and mountainbiking trails, sandy roads. You will see lots of horses, but also cows, sheep and, if you are lucky, small groups of deer. There is a big camp site in the woods, with holiday houses, where you can cycle to on our bikes (10 min), which is a great place for children to play in the playground, have lunch or dinner, swim in the indoor or outdoor pool.
A bit further towards the center, enjoy a swim on a warm day in a very large outdoor swimming pool nearby (12 min), also in beautiful green environment. Take the bicycle (15 min) or car (5 min) to the centre of Oosterhout and buy your groceries, clothing and all you want in the big shopping area in- and outdoors, markets at some days and … lots of restaurants and bars if you like to go out at night. We highly recommend a visit to the St. Jan's Basilique (15th century)!
A bit further away is Breda: a great city, with its small streets, cosy restaurants, endless shopping, which you can also reach by bike, in about 30 min, or 15 min by car.
