We are looking for an exchange in Iceland, Finland og Northern Sweden where we can do trails. Maybe even gravel biking. A minor city in driving distance and a possibilty to swap cars.. Days can be negotiated:-) Since we are country people, we would prefer a place where there is a big terrace or a garden.

House by the waterfront, Denmark.

We live in a idyllic area - a national park due too the many remains of the Vikings. Our house is right next to the fjord. You can swim in the fjord or you can use our 4 kayaks to explore the surroundings.
4 km from here there is a public playground and a small public bath. there are also nearby breweries, and a chocolatefactory.
Nearby larger City is Roskilde. An old and very seaworthy town. Queens and Kings are buried In the church which is a mustsee. It is on the Unesco list of world preservation heritage. Roskilde is one of the oldest cities in Denmark an has an interesting story. There is a large and interactive museum showing the old Viking ships, and there are possibilities for the children to make swords and jewelry's. Roskilde has an active cultural life with music, galleries etc. Off course there are also shops, restaurants, marketplaces, cinemas etc.
From Roskilde you can take the train to Copenhagen (25 min). Copenhagen can be reached from our home in ca by 35 min.
Because our area is an EU habitat there is a lot of swans and other birds. Sometimes you can be lucky to see eagles. Every spring and summer we have a swan-nest right next to our garden which is why we do not welcome animals.
We have a cat , but the nabourghs feeds the cat if you are away.

Quiet neighborhood with good neighbors. We live in a nationalpark due to the many remains of vikings.
There are to nearby breweries, a chocolate factory (with many awards as the best quality chocolate in the world). If you have interest in vikings- this is the place to be. You can bath in the Fjord.
