Victorian dwellinghouse at Ythan estuary, Scotland, with direct view to the dunes

Built in 1906, our house - called Burnbank - is a detached Victorian dwellinghouse with many original features, situated in the beautiful village of Newburgh and offering accommodation on 155 m2 over two floors. It is a 3 min walk across the dunes to the Ythan estuary and North Sea beach, and you can see the dunes of Forvie Nature Reserve - and watch the players on Newburgh Golf course - from the large bay windows in the living room and upstairs bedrooms. At the back, the house has a large SW- facing conservatory and a sunny and very private and secure (small children) back garden. On the ground floor, there are a large dining kitchen, the lounge which extends the whole depth of the property, a large conservatory, bathroom and two additional rooms. One is used as a guest bedroom (double bed). The other (the right hand bay window in the photograph) as a mix of library/ music room (piano)/ study. Upstairs are two large double bedrooms and a 2nd bathroom. There is ample garden furniture and a paved patio next to the kitchen and conservatory which is very sheltered (so yes, we do eat outside in summer although we are in Scotland ..) If you have children, they will love the large playhouse on stilts in the garden (platform height 1.50m). The house has wifi, and you are welcome to use our kayak, SUP and bicycles, skateboard or the PlayStation 4, or the piano, guitar and Jan's drum kit. You are also welcome to borrow our camping equipment.
