Flat in SOLOTHURN, Switzerland

Our quiet and comfortable apartment (3 bedrooms, 1,5 bath, 90 m2) is on the 2nd floor in a long, 3 story building. Can accommodate 3-4 persons. The big living room has a balcony. Dining area seats 6-8 persons. Kitchen renovated in 2015.
Our street is quiet, with a lot of green around and only 10 minutes walk from the old historic city centre.
A city bus stop and a new small railway station for regional trains are within 150 m from our house so you can easily use the excellent swiss railways.

High speed internet and WIFI avaiable.

Solothurn is a small (18 000) historical town still imposed in its 17C walls, has some fine Renaissance and Baroque buildings (imposing Cathedral, other mostly catholic churches, Old Arsenal), some museums.
The town lies on the last ridge of the Jura Mountains (up to 1200 -1400 m) and extends to the both banks of the river Aare. Within half an hour you can reach the Swiss capital Bern, in one hour Basel, Zurich, Lucerne, Lausanne. You can be within 1 hour in France (Alsace) or South Germany, in 1.5 hours in the High Alps.

Our car is a 2010 Nissan Note 1.4, manual steering.

We have two very comfortable city bikes, good for short trips in the forests or cycling along the river Aare, or for everyday shopping around Solothurn.

We are an active couple who loves to travel. We love to visit national parks, heritage sites, gardens, museums. While at home we enjoy hiking around Solothurn and in the Jura Mountains or in the Alp Region.
We like short trips to some interesting places or cities in South Germany or South-east France.
