Front and back garden with open views of the country There is a summer house for picnics and a lawn large enough for badminton. The conservatory is a place to chill out in and the comfortable living room has a log burning fire and Satellite tv with recorder and Blu-ray dvd. There is a baby grand piano in the music room and a new full size table tennis table in the garage.
For those who don't want to drive all the time, there is a regular bus service to York, Beverley and the seaside at Bridlington. The bus goes to York rail station from where there are frequent trains south to London (2 hours) and north to Edinburgh and Glasgow (2 hours) and Inverness. The rail company East Coast Rail offer cheap advanced tickets.
For those who want to walk, there is the Yorkshire Wolds on our doorstep, the Wolds Way, Minster Way and Wilberforce Way. Pocklington is a good spot from which to cycle and is very popular as a stopping point with cyclists.
Our home is on the edge of town but within 10 minutes walk of the centre, where a typical Yorkshire Market is held every Tuesday. We have an allotment nearby and fresh salads and vegetables are available when in season.
