Our house built in 1980 consists of 2 bedrooms with an office on the main floor and a third bedroom downstairs along with a locked storage room. The master bedroom has a king size bed and an attached ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a bathroom opposite it, the office , living room and kitchen are all located on the main floor. The master bedroom and the kitchen both have French double doors which open onto the back deck, hot tub and garden. Downstairs there is a third bedroom with a queen size bed and a set of single bunk beds and a storage room with an outside entrance,
The house is located in the beautiful small City of Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island, a short 2 hour ferry ride from Vancouver and can be acessed via seaplane from Vancouver or by regular air into our small airport of Cassidy about 15 miles to the south of us.
Nanaimo, with a population of about 80,000 and nicknamed the Harbour City is known for its beautiful waterfront walkways and its proximity to the mountains and rivers. Our home is located on a quiet street, nestled among large cedar trees and a very short walk to a rocky beach and ocean, and with views across the Straight of Georgia to the Coast Mountains. Nanaimo is a 1 and 1/2 hour drive to the historic Capital of B.C. Victoria, or a 3 hour drive to the West Coast of Vancouver Island and Tofino where surfing and whale watching are favorite things to do. From Nanaimo you can easily reach any of the many Gulf Islands by a short drive and ferry trip or visit the beautiful City of Vancouver or Whistler Mountain (home of the 2010 Winter Olympics).

Le style de vie
When we are not travelling, we spend our winters at our house in Playa del Carmen Mexico and in the summer we can usually be found out on our boat sport fishing, or at our recreation property on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
We now have had four exchanges, Australia, England twice and Hawaii. All have been a wonderful experience not only seeing new countries but meeting new friends around the world.
We would like to do an exchange for 4 to 6 weeks
Our preferred time is early May to mid July and Sept 1 to Oct 15
