Attractive first floor flat located in the New Town, centre of Edinburgh.
Ours is an attractive first floor flat in the New Town area of Edinburgh (see below). We have two large bedrooms, however, only the main bedroom is presently available. We have a dining room-study, hallway, kitchen and bathroom. Typically for the New Town area, the flat has spacious rooms with corniced, high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of light. The rooms are furnished comfortably and contain all the electronic and other equipment any visitor is likely to need. There is a communal back garden for the building and we provide chairs you can take to sit out.

Our Neighbourhood
We live in what is described as the New Town: ‘often considered to be a masterpiece of city planning and is a Unesco World Heritage site….it was built in stages between 1765 and around 1850, and retains much of the original neo-classical period architecture (Wikipedia). The apartment was built in the 1890s and is at the corner of what is apparently the deepest crescent in Europe. Our particular urban village is called Canonmills and is on the northern edge of the New Town about ¾ mile from Princes Street (the centre of the city). There are a variety of local shops, restaurants and coffee houses within a 500 metres. Though close to the centre, it is a few minutes walk to the Botanic Gardens and the Waters of Leith, a lovely inland waterway/pathway. It is 5-10 minutes walk from the cultural hubs of Stockbridge and Broughton Street. Regular nearby buses take you to most places in the city. A bus that stops in the street outside the apartment takes you to the port area of Leith (a ten minute trip), which has 3 Michelin- starred restaurants amongst its attractions.
